Help identifying three LP fridge parts

1998 U-320.

We have the Dometic Elite RM7832 LP fridge.

Inside the outside vent area are some parts I can't identify:
1) a small black box that is sealed with three wires coming out of it
2) a large round silver sensor with two electrical connectors on it
3) a really long wire that is looped at the end and encased in a plastic sleeve

I've never seen these on any other LP fridge before, and I don't know what they do, or where the long wire is supposed to go.

The black box is wired this way:
- red wire goes to fridge control board pin J2 (listed as interior light)
- blue wire goes to large round silver sensor
- black wire goes to ground

Three foot long wire:
- white wire connects to 12 volt DC terminal at back of fridge
- black wire connects to large round silver sensor

Anyone have any thoughts on what this is, and where I should place the long three foot wire with the loop at the end?

Thank you,
Chris

Not seen that particular set up, but wonder if that is power and "switch" for an supplemental fan for the back of the refrigerator??

Is there a fan (or fans) visible when you look up from the outside access area?

As far as I can see, there are no fans installed in the rear of this fridge (but I have two on the way so I can install them).

I made a mistake when I initially described the wiring, and it is now corrected above.  It was difficult to trace the wires out in the wiring jumble back there.
