D2,valve maybe stuck.

Pump brakes until zero.  See if it frees up the valve

Pumping and pounding did no good.
Exhaust blew off right where it connects to the turbo.  Hard to load pics.  Well tri in another separate post.

On the turbo part, maybe you can get some bailing wire or something to hold exhaust in place til you get home or possibly find the
clamp somewhere. The idea about the melted hose sounds good.

I noticed that on my air guage, the white needle (rear air?) was running much lower than the red one.
This means what?

Big air leak in rear. Probably not governor related. On the road it is hard to hear an air leak in the rear with the exhaust hooked up With the engine running.  In your case almost impossible. Maybe run at high idle to build pressure shut off engine and run to the rear to try to hear where it is coming from.

Some small good news.  Appears I just blew a clamp holding the exhaust onto the turbo.  No melted hosts I could see though.
At idle, both pointers at 70.

Back to possible governor problem then. When you shut it off does it hold pressure. Also  when you rev it up does it build more pressure?

Make sure the pipe from the turbo is clamped and secured. The insulation is super flammable and does not take much to ignite it. One member lost his coach because the turbo pipe came off.

Poor alice.
Towed away in disgrace!
Road service/tow operator claims a couple of air leaks in rear.  Not too concerned about exhaust.

Thanks to all who offered help and support!
It's truly great to know there are a group willing to help.
1)  DW and I make it to home base at 0600.
2)  Alice made it to the shop at 0500.  A local shop, BTW.  They work on big rigs and are going to help.
3)  Educated guess, either a couple of bad hoses or cans, or both.
4)  Exhaust does not sound like an issue to fix.

To the gentleman from CA who called me personally, all I can say is thank you very much.
