Interior renovation started

I am starting the interior of my 94 U280 Grand Villa. I installed travertine on the entry steps this weekend. Jackknife couch, recliner and chair have been sent to the upholstery shop to be done in new leather...Hopefully the couch will be much more comfortable! The front curtains and bedroom curtains are being made, new blinds have been ordered, flooring has been removed. I will be installing new hardwood... and travertine in front of the shower and toilet.  Who thought carpet was a good idea around the toilet??Oh!  And that old Corian...GONE!...replacing it with Chiseled edge granite....replacing that useless Corian table with a hammered copper bar,  and bar stools....and a hammered copper bath sink installed in Rain Forest marble....changing all bath fixtures to oil rubbed bronze....and more...More photos to come as we progress.  Can you tell that I am excited??..It's only money, right??  ; ;D

WOW!  You are doing a terrific job of renovation.  Love the kitchen counter top with the rough edges, and the excellent coordination of colors and materials.  I hope my DW doesn't see this thread!  (Just kidding - I will definitely show it to her)

That is OUTSTANDING decor.  If only the designers at Foretravel were inclined to choose finishes as rich looking and easy on the eye as the ones you have placed in your coach!  Most of the new rigs coming out of Foretravel make me think of the inside of a hair salon!  Well done ... VERY well done!!

"And that old Corian...GONE!...replacing it with Chiseled edge granite....replacing that useless Corian table with a hammered copper bar,  and bar stools....and a hammered copper bath sink installed in Rain Forest marble...." How much is the weight changing? Up or down? I would think that the granite would be quite a bit heavier than the Corian.

I am using about 20 hp just to haul around my granite countertops. 3/4 in granite 13 lbs per sq ft. 3/4 in corian 6.7 lbs per sq ft.

It might be heavy....but the DW does not weigh much! ;)

It's reall fantastic Karl. It's also impressive how just a counter top, floor and window treatment make these look better than most new high liners.

The bathroom is a little further behind. Still need to grout, install backsplash and shower door. I had all of the towel bars , rings, light fixtures and shower surround powder coated in bronze.
