Replacing generator radiator

The radiator on my 8KW gen will cost 500 to recore or about 600 for a new one.Have been looking at Summit Racing's radiators,theirs are anywhere from 150 to 250 and you can order the inlets and outlets and flo directions in any combinations.
Will continue to research,in the meantime if anyone has any ideas please share them.

More that 10 years ago, I replaced the radiator on my U270 genset after having it repair twice but still began leaking again.  Took measurements, ordered one online, and installed it when it came.  New mounts and a bracket fashioned by my brother to hold the top to the engine block, helped I am sure.  Cost back then was about $200.  (Less that the second repair and some beer for my brother when I visited him.)

Where did you get those prices?

Got the re-core prices from 2 different shops,one was $600,the price for a new radiator from power tech is $613.00,is there another
source for these radiators?

My 10kw Power Tech radiator recently overheated and blew the cap and flange off. I spoke to them and they suspect a cracked weld and perhaps a bad thermostat. They told me they no longer make a direct fit replacement radiator as of 2006. They make one that will fit ($600 plus shipping) but it will require custom refitting/welding of the mounts. I'm hoping it's an easy fix.

My genset radiator isn't very big, about the size of the one in my 1964 Massey Ferguson tractor.  I had that re-cored here locally
for less than $200.00 a few years ago.  But like everything else, I guess prices are over the top now.  Summit sounds like a winner.

The generator radiator on my coach was leaking when we bought it in 2008.  Took the radiator off and had a local shop repair it.  I think it got a new core.  No problems since.
