Cat Dander

Do any of you guys have experience abating a cat dander issue from previous owners?  Coach mostly has vinyl floors, leather, and few fabric surfaces.  Coach is empty and cleaned, but still has dust some places and subsequently cat dander. 

Will ozone generator help?
What about a professional detailed with extraction machine?
Does time neutralize cat dander and reduce allergic response?

Most vacuum cleaners do not have fine enough filtration to remove pet dander.  A really good vac with true HEPA filtering and a lot of elbow grease can be effective. I have severe pet allergies and speak from experience.

Ozone generator?  No.  Cat dander is a physical "thing".  Ozone generators (if they work at all...) only treat "odors".

Serious pro cleaning/vacuuming might work.  If the coach in question has the white fuzzy ceiling material, you could try running the vacuum over that.  Seems to me it would be a good place for allergens to accumulate.

Time?  Wouldn't count on it.  We haven't had a cat in our house for 20 years.  Sister-in-law (cat allergic) is still affected...or perhaps she just doesn't like to visit us in West TX and uses that for a excuse?

And besides, haven't you noticed that every coach ever put up for sale is guaranteed to be "No Pets - No Kids - No Smoking"?

Have had a ozone generator for years they do help with odors and every coach for sale that the AC does not work just needs a
charge.

The solution to pollution is dilution. Have someone with a bunch of hose and a shop vacuum located outside downwind of the coach clean it several times. You can rent real HEPA filters to filter interior air during the cleaning process, compressed air to blow particles airborne out of nooks and crannies prior to 2nd vacuuming. This should get it down to a tolerable level.

Chuck can you buy pet dander to keep the in-laws away? Hey wait a minute, I could package some up and make a fortune.

Add to the above run the big attic fan with drivers side window slightly ajar and beat on all soft surfaces.

If you have the aqua Hot system you need to pull out all of the heat exchangers and clean them along with all of your air conditioners and the air conditioner overhead duct Channel.  When you pull the exchangers you will be surprised on the amount of accumulated debris on the exchangers and in the area behind them.

I use a rug doctor carpet machine attachments for upholstery cleaning on the ozite ceiling carpeting. 

The Agua hot cleaning is something we need to do also

You might want to clean all of the fabric surfaces with an enzymatic cleaner made for this job. Check with you local pet store.
