Nimbus ok, deer not

Have calmed down, assessed the damage and notified the insurance company. The coach is a marvelous machine and who ever thought up the skid plate is a genius. That alone mist have save significant damage to the undercarriage. The front of the nimbus leaves her looking like a gap toothed six yr old. The step cover doesn't work, so that makes getting in and out a pain in the posterior.
We have a small air leak at the actuator site for the step cover. Lynn has placed clamps on what appears to be air lines and I have noticed the mini air pump is not working as hard.  We just can't figure out how to get the step cover slide back.
Perhaps FT can explain what we can do.
Once more having trouble posting a pic, but the front is on the FB foretravel page.

Call Xtreme Paint and Graphics in NAC in the AM, they can walk you through the step cover cylinder removal, then step will just push back in manually. They can work with pictures emailed from you to get the insurance quote done and then schedule you in for the work - if you are inclined to drive to NAC to get the coach fixed NAC

Xtreme Paint & Graphics

If James is not available, talk to Greg.

Hard to beat Xtreme's work anywhere, issue is usually their schedule is pretty packed.

If you are west coast inclined, Oregon Motorcoach has capability to fix the coach as well

BIG condolences!  Where did the incident occur?  Foretravel deer strikes are surprisingly infrequent, or at least not often reported on the Forum.  Probably due to the somewhat slower speed of motorhomes, especially on secondary highways.  Keep us updated on your status.

Thanks John,
We were about 20 miles north of where we were going to stay. Dusk had just fallen and we were only moving about 55 mph. It happened so quickly, that we didn't have time to do much more than process the buck was in front of us. If his hooves hadn't slipped , he might have made it. We were on us 75 heading south toward Topeka.

They will definitely leave a mark. We tested our jeep on an Elk in Yellostone.. We both limped away..
