ARP installation question

I had ordered an ARP for my 2001 U320, which has a side by side RM 1282 Dometic. After watching ARPrv.com videos at least six times, I dug into removing the chimney to install the sensor. NO LUCK !! I felt no " give " after bending the tab and opening the surround. I am tired of getting beaten up by inanimate objects. Has anyone installed one in a RM 1282?? Am I missing something here?? Might have to wait until Quartzite. Thanks

I did.  You just pry open the hatch in the chimney where you would replace the heating element and follow their directions.  Yes, it's difficult to open it if you've never done it.

Normally a tab on the side you bend open, then there is a slot at the bottom, so you must lift the door up when removing.
