Turn signals not working after alignment

I had my front end aligned, I believe they may have tightened up the steering box to eliminate pull to the left, now my turn signals do not work.  Previous post talked about switch coming unplugged when he had his steering box worked on resulting in turn signals inoperative.  Where would this have come unplugged?  What should the free-play be in the steering box, how tight should it be?

I do not believe there is any way to adjust the steering box. It has the be removed and "blueprinted". RedHead steering boxes is the usual supplier for this service.

Turn signal should not have anything to do with alignment.  Possible that a cable may have become disconnected for some reason, just look behind and under the dash.  Do the emergency flashers work?  Less play is better.  Key must be on for turn signal to work, but not for emergency flashers to work..

I may have just confused the cause, after reading this post:  Need help with turn signals  I'll check it out more this week.  The turn signals and flashers worked driving into the shop Friday morning, on the way home they did not.  I will of course post when I find out the cause.

Did they remove the steering wheel to center it. If yes, that may be the root of the problem. Any work done under the coach should have no effect on the turn signals.

I agree.

Also, as stated, there is NO external adjustment for play on a Sheppard M100 box.  Only blue-printing can tighten them up.

Jack, I lost my turn indicators once for no apparent reason, worked one day next day they didn't. In the process of checking the wiring/breaker/fuse path, I removed the panel in front of the passenger seat and discovered the turn signal flasher lying on the floor....it is a heavy flasher and had been positioned in a way so it was "hanging down" while plugged into it's socket and over time it's sheer weight had permitted it to fall out of it's socket...plugged it back in and was good to go...also re-positioned it to "pointing up" instead of down.
This may not have anything to do with your problem, but it wouldn't take long to check.........sure had me scratching my head as to why I lost turn indicators for no reason.

Thank you, everybody's input helped me find what it was.  Checked the breakers mid coach in the basement bay behind the approx 12"x12" fiberglass cover, and found a loose nut and washer going to red wire on breaker marked Dash Memory 30A, I assume this was the issue.  I also found a loose nut on breaker marked LP Leak Detector 10A, fixed that, also was worth finding.  Tightened both and flashers and turn signals now work fine.  Terrific, problem solved.  Again thank you to all that posted as I kept looking for correct fix without returning to alignment shop with the issue.
