Seward Princess Cook Top - Stove Won't Light
I could have sworn I've seen this topic here before, but couldn't find it. The large burner has slowly been taking longer and longer to light. And in June Lake this past weekend, it finally wouldn't light at all, even when holding the ignition knob, clicking for minutes. I remembered reading that you can try cleaning something that may help.
Finally found it on another forum, and you just have to take some steel wool and clean the thermocouple. I tried using a fine sandpaper and the steel wool while it was still assembled, but that didn't do it. After taking it apart and really giving it a good scrub and putting everything back together, they both lit up instantly.
Just had to remove the three bolts on the large burner and the two bolts on the small one, and then remove the clip that holds the thermocouple in place. Once the thermocouple was clean and back in place, then reassembled the burners (this was the trickiest part, getting it all lined back up) both ignited quickly.
