Ignition off, brake & oil lights come on

When I turn off the ignition my parking brake light and the idiot oil light come on, but dimmer than the normal on brightness.
If I move the shift lever from neutral to reverse the lights go off.
This has happened before and I couldn't find what caused it. It went away and now it is back.
Any thoughts? Ideas as to why?

Just a WAG but you could have a loose ground wire in the dash.

Stuck relay? Or partially welded relay contacts?

Mine will do that if the headlight switch is on when I shut off the ignition. Not too sure if it's theough the daytime running lights or the headlight switch but it reminds me if they were on.
