RIP Kool o matic

My Kool o matic did not survive the I-40 whoop de doo's on the trip home. Two of the rubber in shear vibration isolators sheared completely and the third one is fatigue cracked. Motor bearings appear to be dragging a good bit also.Anybody have the max air, and is it a pita to change out, or can I reuse the existing wiring?

Wow Bob is that the one from your post 3 years ago, I thought it was long gone by now.

Kool O Matic rubber isolation bolts are a common available part also used in PowerTech.  Others have found and posted replacement motor part number.  Also motor may be oiled and replaced.

That's still the correct NAPA number. I replaced mine last year. Here's a link to my post which contains links to a couple other motor replacement posts. motor

Replacing the Kool a Matic  with a Fantastic Fan was one of the first things I did when I bought our coach last year.  Two reasons were difficulty in finding parts and the fact that I could not find a way of properly insulating it.  I accessed the wiring through the cabinet above my microwave.  I had to bypass the termostat, since the new unit had one built in, but left it in place to cover up the hole.
It was not a simple job, due to the difficult access (short cabinet) to the wiring and identifying them.

And if you boondock the Kool-a-matic use 4amps while the Fantastic Fan pulls just over 1. My Kool-a-matic is due to come out later this year for that very reason.
