Solid brass Foretravel belt buckle

Sandy and I have been cleaning 13 years of living in our coach. One thing found was this brass belt buckle and I have no idea where it came from. It's very heavy solid brass. The back side small print is "1989 hand made solid brass Anacortes, WA USA lifetime guarantee". The front side appears to picture a 1989 Grand Villa with double stainless steel front bumpers. I do not believe it has ever had a belt on it.  If anyone is interested in this buckle, it's yours for the asking. Please send me a message on private email.

You could action it off (to Forum members only) with the proceeds going to your favorite charity.  I bet it would draw quite a few bids!

I would think the Factory would be interested, or the Camper Museum in Elkhart IN.  It's Cool  8)

Wow! I wonder if some proud owner had it made? I'm from that area, never even knew there was a foundry there!

I have one and wear it all the time with my western belt. I it when I worked at the Tampa Foretravel store. I think that I got it from Warren McKensie when he was a motorcade director or leading motorcade events.

I like Chuck's idea.  Or, send it to A GV owner in exchange for a contribution to the charity of your choice.

Sure looks to me it's a double bumper GV. I've got a 1990 with same and think an auction for charity is a stellar idea.
Be happy to join in and good Shriner that I am would be going to the Sacramento Shrine Hospital. Post the details up. Believe there will be a lot of interest.

The buckle has found a new owner. I knew that this buckle is very rare and would generate a lot of interest. I had first thought of the auction idea and I am sure the bidding would have been active and fun to watch but what I was looking for was an owner of a 1989, double bumper,40', GV . That is exactly what the buckle was designed after and I did not want that owner to have to fight for it. I really have no idea who gifted it to me but tomorrow it will be shipped and gifted to the new owner.
I had contacted the first responder and told him of my plan and he immediately said,"let it ride and see  what happens."He is happy that we found the right owner. Thank you for all the responses.
I still think and an on line auction would be fun to do. Maybe someone has a rare FT item to start with.
  Thank you,

Warren McKenzie had ordered silver colored and gold ones. I got mine from him if I remember. The gold were some what more money. They kept were kept secured in his office. It's been a long time ago ,so the story is foggy

Glad it found a good home. Yes I own an 89 but I'm a skinny belt type in favor of small buckles,  and it would have probably ended up in the drawer again. Pretty cool find nonetheless.

I'm putting it on a new belt and under my large stomach muscles. Will work on smaller muscles for easier viewing. Also will increase my yearly donation to St. Jude to keep the Karma circle going. That will pay Gary's good deed forward. Got my word on it.
