Rv fridge

How many folks using an rv fridge actually do a flu cleaning ( pull the roof cap and remove the defuser and run a brush through the flu) or is it better left alone on an 18-20 fridge that is working fine?

I normally just beat on the outside of flue and vacuum up anything that falls down into the burner area.

with time the rust will build up, flake off and fall down on the burner.  It can stop it up.  Best to clean the burner every few months of use.

Every couple of years for us. Cleaning the spiral baffle that you take out is as important as the flue due to the rust/soot..

I am reluctant to use a brush on the pipe so I just tap the pipe and use some compressed air and blow the rust away. If the pilot light I am happy guy. Same Frig. since 95. Also I keep it plugged in and on.

This is one thing that was taught in refrigeration school, that to leave an absorbtion refrigeration system running was the best thing for it.
