Replacement Power Tech Generator Fuel Feed Pump

Feed pump died on Power Tech.  PT wanted about $80 for replacement.  Found an article on the Wanderlodge forum that shows an alternative feed pump with identical specs (and it looks identical).  Order off Amazon for less than $40.  Seems to be working perfectly.  Time will tell as my old one lasted 15 years.

Replacement part number is E8012.

Here it is on Amazon for $37: Amazon.com: Airtex E8012S Universal Electric Fuel Pump: Automotive

Having a spare for $8 delivered is also not a bad idea. OK for diesel: New Fuel Pump Petrol Diesel Low Pressure Universal Inline Electric Pump...

For the PowerTech generators found on GVs, the Facet (Bendix) tube style pumps are OEM and do a good job but cost a little more. Lot of aircraft use them too. See all at Chief Aircraft Parts at: Search results for: 'facet' - Chief Aircraft Inc.

I have had a couple of the square type leak. The tube style have a filter in the bottom (5/8" wrench) that is easily accessible.
