I had to chuckle when looking at the pictures and the video as they could have at least opened the shades to let some light inside

A friend bought a Country Coach that the photos supplied by the seller showed an immaculate unit with low miles and good looking tires, engine and batteries. In fact, the photos were of the coach as bought by the original owner and were being passed down through four owners to my friend. Tires were junk as were the batteries. The engine was a grease ball. The miles were as represented on the odometer but a check with the history showed that they had been reduced a couple of time for a total of 100K. Buyer beware!

It's an AUCTION,it's up to the bidders to determine by looking or somehow checking the coach out whether it is worth it or not.
Looking at those pictures it looks like a 22 year old coach to me,not sure how it was ridden.Someone put on a engine bypass filter.
One negative is the frame and metal around the engine area could use some rustoleum,have seen similar sights on forum members
coaches.We bought a few vehicles on Ebay and contrary to what the sellers spiel is we did not give them our check until we saw
the vehicle and then made a final decision.Have also seen some greaseballs on the forum too.

The seller has a 100% rating . Just like me. I work very hard to keep it at 100% and you cant make stuff up and stay that way.
The deal looks to be very real to me. Dont forget that E bay stands behind the deal . If it is misrepresented it will not go. Maybe fly somebody over to give it a looksie and check the bulkheads and structure. It might be very nice.

Me too, 1000 transactions, 100%. Have sold a couple of cars and truck campers, but always with a small deposit on PayPal and balance on inspection in person. No problems so far.

I don't believe there is protection on vehicles. I may be wrong. Have 973 100% positive too. If everyone would leave one, probably double that.

Post lots of pics and list all problems, then buyer has very little recourse. Best to have non refundable small deposit to weed out the bums. Might get burned on an auction. I like buy it now, or best offer. I do post my phone number so we can talk before, gives the buyer a better feeling about the deal. Object for them should be a good deal. Hate to say, build in PP 5% on every listing.

Our PO first put the coach on E-Bay and almost kept it because of all the phone calls from "tire kickers". He put it on RV Trader as a last resort with tons of info and pics. We saw it and pretty much bought it sight unseen without inspection.

So it went for 14k, not sure if I would be happy or petrified if I had the winning bid. Needs in the very least new tires all around. I have a front engine gas 92 GV. Pretty simple to keep up. So realistically a diesel with 120k, aside from not knowing the history at all, would that make you guys nervous?
If you had a well maintained 300 or 350 diesel, how many miles would you expect out of it?

One other question, in a bid situation like that how do you protect yourself?

If it went for 14K someone got a smoking deal! I just had a the bottom end of a Cummins N14 (main and rod bearings) done at 500,000 miles my mechanic says I'm good to go for another 500,000. I'm surprised they didn't go to the end of the bid, still had 2.5 days to go. Would have been worth it in parts.

He pulled it because it either sold locally, or he wasn't happy with the bids and killed it.
