Sewer Vent Cap

Shark fin disappeared, ordered 360 siphon, have any of you converted or used the 360 Siphon sewer vent cap? Any issues with change out?

I put on two of the 360º siphons and haven't had any issues with them. Having no moving parts and a very low profile make them an attractive option. The installation is just a matter of thoroughly clean of the old sealant, filling the old screw holes, possibly cutting the ABS vent pipe shorter (though they do no have a higher profile model available if you want to avoid that), and applying the included Butyl tape to the vent, predrilling the the screw holes (preferably with an appropriate tapered bit). You might also want to use your preferred exterior sealant around the flange and screws. Tedious, but not difficult work all in all.

Thanks Don, I bought a tube of Dicor, that should do it, right?

A lot of people use the Dicor self leveling for this type of project so it should be fine. I use it for temporary type repairs on our park model trailer when I want to be "done for now" because it is easier to clean off than the stuff I like to use for more permanent fixes. I carry some with me in the coach and would use it to temporarily seal some through roof penetration that developed a leak (like say a clearance light). When I want to be done for good, I like to use 3M 4000 UV. It is removable with persuasion, but...

I have used both the Cyclone vent and the 360 Siphon. Years ago they were made by the same company, with their tests the 360 Siphon removed more air, not sure how that test would go today. Replacing my vent this year I've already purchased the 360 Siphon as it has a lower profile with no moving parts. In this case, simpler is better.

We've had a Camco Cyclone on the roof for 3 years and counting...still rotates freely and works like it's supposed to. My only complaint is that the "shark fin" moving part has turned a sickly yellow color, while the base is still white. They need to mold all of it from the "base" material, that is obviously not affected by UV rays. Other than that, IMO, it's a good product.

The tank vents on our coach are 21 years old and still do the job, when i work on some other things on the roof I will put the same ones back.
