Entrance door light

My wife and I recently purchased a 1998 40' U320. There is a light above the door on the outside of the coach that used to come on when I turned the battery switch on along with the lighted handle. I figured out how to turn on the handle light by touching the metal base but I cannot figure out how to turn on the over the door light. I tried pushing the button switch at its base but no luck. Any ideas?

There should be a rocker switch just as you go in and up the stairs, on the stairwell to the right.  On my 1997 there are three switches in a row.  One is for the porch light, one is for the stairs, one is for ceiling light back in the kitchen on a relay (and has a green on light)..

If the switch, as mention above, does not light the fixture. Check the bulb.

Similar problem.... light stopped working. We checked the fixture to see if there was "juice" with the two switches, one at the door and the other controlling the grab bar light.....both had current. We cleaned the contacts and we tightened them a bit. Works like a charm. Thanks, again Twig.  I should have bought the LED light at the big tent in Quartzite to replace the fixture.....next time.

The porch lite on mine. 91 model, lights up when I touch the lighted handel. It will turn off after 20 seconds or so unless you turn inside switch on.

Just tried the switch and the grab bar lights but not the overhead light. I'll try the bulb and contacts before anything else this weekend. It worked initially  when I got it so hopefully it's just something loose or dirty. Thank you all for your help. I'll let you know what I come up with.
