Re: Sounds easy, fuel filter specs for Baldwin 7613?

So I have the oem racor, had no problem getting a replacement Baldwin in stock that fit the racor. Would have to check the receipts for what I got. Found 4 racor primary filter kits stuffed in a storage compartment kit 15211 probably very very old and glue is shot. New secondary filter is a Baldwin BF970. Could not find much on the Baldwin site for micron ratings. I kinda like the racor drop in filter concept as I changed filter and motor fired right up. When I changed the secondary I just loosened a fitting and used the manual fuel pump a few times until air bled out, tightend the fitting and engine fired right up. Is the clear bowl assembly and gaskets no longer available? If so it's almost 30 years old and a top access alternative would be great with a visible fuel bowl.. All of my Baldwin filters we're in $10-19 range, with the exception of the $65 monster air filter. Might upgrade the secondary to a CAT low micron for added protection as I see my CAT 8 injectors are about $130 each and I am used to $25 MBZ diesel injectors.
