Spendide 2000 Starting on its Own.

When we bought the coach four years ago the washer looked brand new, never used. Teresa didn't use it much until these last few months.  About three weeks ago we woke up at about 5 AM and the washer was running.  We acused each other of "Night Washing".  She has used it numerous times since and it has worked fine.  Teresa was going to start a load of clothes today and when she opened the door water poured out onto the floor. She closed it real quick but water was still half way up the window. The washer wasn't running as before but just sitting there full of water. All the buttons were in the off position and the dial turned off.  I turned the water off and flipped the breakers to keep it from happening again. Has anyone else had a self starting washer?

We did not a have the same issue with ours but the opposite...The dryer would not heat...I checked all the circuits according Splendid Tech manual and everything was in spec on the heaters. Tech support said I had a bad timer switch....cannot find one as they are discontinued. After a a week of traveling (I never tested the dryer after the diagnostics) Marjet put some cloth in to dry and bingo we had heat...Maybe we had some bad contacts and when pulling the wiring off the connectors it did a self fix

I had the problem in my Monaco and it was a leaking water solenoid.

Thanks Craneman.  I thought of a valve or solenoid but what I couldn't figure out was why the washer itself was running in the wash/rinse cycle in the middle of the night.  That and the door was not locked to keep you from opening it while full of water.

I only had the washer filing up with water issue. It even overfilled also. Good thing it did not have the bulkhead issue, because water was everywhere.

One trick to get the water out if it won't respond to controls is to pull the drain hose to the gray tank and attach a wet vac. Doesn't even have to be a tight fit. You can wrap you hand around the hose to tighten up the connection. Works great. I only had a 1 gallon wet vac so had to empty it a couple of times.
