Fresh water tank removal

I've started working on my 90 U300 40'. I have to rebuild the floor due to rot on the battery side that extends to the beam under the water tanks. I have the gray and black tanks out thanks to info I found here. I can't find anything about removing the fresh water tank. Do I need to remove the wall that I have pictured and if so where are the mounts. Thanks for the help.

The tank slides out sideways.

Sideways to the coach, They pull out on the side you don't take out walls, at least in my experience.

Mine came out on the roadside,  sort of had to ramrod it out with a block of wood across the bottom below the hot water tank from the opposite side.  Very tight fit, had to soap it up to get it back in.  The 1/2" female supply nipple  spun welded on to the tank cracked at the threads.

Thanks guys. I was thinking I'd have to take out the wall that divides from the waste tanks. Good to know that can stay in place.

Ben,

With your coach having hindged doors this is a big help as you don't have to pull the door off to remove the fresh water tank. The tank should come out the drivers side as your coach may have part of the water heater in the way to come out the passengers side.
1. You will need to remove the latching hardware off the door frame.
2 Remove the bottom door frame (about 6 screws)
3. Remove the rear door frame. (about 4 screws)
2&3a. there will be sealant that is holding these 2 pieces in place so they will have to be loosened up with a scraper/putty knife.
4. Remove the tank vanity cover that hides the tank (if it is still there as someone may have already removed it) and 2 pieces of aluminum angle iron that it was mounted on.
5. Remove the cross brace that you have exposed when you removed the fiberglass vanity cover. (2 bolts, one on each end)
6. Go to passengers side and disconnect the drain line, the pump suction/fill line, the tank vent line along with the wiring for your tank monitor.
7. Unless I have forgotten something the tank should be loose.
8. Push tank from the passengers side so it exits the drivers side.
It may be helpful to have a second person to help guide it out as you push.
If this doesn't make sense call me and I can talk you through the process.  I will send you a P/M with the number.

Hello,  Can someone help me with a part number?  I need the cold water storage tank filler cap. 1985 V917  Oshkosh pusher.  I can't seem to find one locally.  It looks like a radiator cap or a oil fill valve cover cap.

Thank You

Is that in the front after you lift up the doors on the front. If that is then that would have been added by a previous owner as that was originally the vent overflow for the fresh water tank. The tank was filled by hooking up the city water hose and opening the valve under the little door between the driver and passenger seats.
