Lighted handle works seperately?

Seeing posts on the handle light makes me wonder if mine only works with the "porch" light.
I didn't want to hijack the latest post on the lighted handle.
My acrylic handle does light, but only when I turn on the porch light.
Does a coach from my era have the optional "touch" feature?
How would I know?

Don't know, but if you do, you would look for a little black or dark brown module that says "Touch Lite" on the sticker.  On our coach, it is mounted to the "ceiling" of the small cargo bay to the left of the entry door.  In the first link below, scroll down to see some photos of the module:

I have been all over our coach washing, waxing, cleaning, fixing stuff, replacing the ACs, been in every possible cavity on our coach, been in the dash, under the couch, and never found anything remotely like a Touchlite module.
Thanks for the information and the pictures. Definitely not on our coach.
I wondered about the small (about 1/8" diameter) pin down by the lower side of the door frame, but it must have been for an electric step option (that we don't have) but was a standard part of the witing harness for coaches.

I tried to print out the wiring link, but was unsuccessful. Does anyone know the secret?

Thanks,

Trent,

For some reason (which is above my pay grade) you can't print directly from beamalarm.com entries.  I think you will need to Google the subject, and see if you can locate the original source of the diagram.

Is this what you want: The selected media item is not currently available.

Touch-Lite modules are no longer in production, but if one would like to add this feature to their coach, they are (according to ad) still available:

Got a good laugh from this ad.  Note the asking price for a "refurbished" module!  :o

Chuck,

Yes, exactly; thanks.

But the more general question, is why can we no longer print from the Beam Alarm website? I have been a member of this forum for over seven years, and I know we used to be able to print those web pages. What has changed?

My door handle light works with my outdoor light. Think a torchlight would would not add much for me. Well it does save your battery small advantage I guess

I converted my handle by the door and the porch light to LEDs, so less battery draw.

Covered this on another thread -
I Just cut the wire to the auto-on porch-lite module.  Was staying on.  I tried a couple of fixes, - then cut the wore to the touch sensor control box.  Now it turns ON and OFF by the inside switch.  When in Nac next time I may have someone fix it.  I lost patience.

Did not intend to Hijack this thread.    ;D
