Noisy Fresh water pump

After our overflow issue we have been using the water tank instead of city water. Been working fine.

But this morning while the wife was washing her face. The pump started to get very noisy. I went and shut off the pump. It ran in this noisy condition for about ten seconds. Checked the tank and it had run dry.

So I put some water in. After running the faucet and pump. It is still noisy (like rattling the pipes) it has plenty of flow and pressure and it is only about 18 months old.

Suggestions?

Bigdog,
You have air in the system. Open all of the taps and run the pump. It may take a while but it will clear up. To avoid in the future set a low tank level alarm on the monitor if you can.

Boy BIgdog...I can relate. I bought mine 2 years ago last month...got a great buy. But with that said..it had not been used in awhile. Only has 37,000 miles. I have been through every system in the coach to get things right..But to be totally honest...I don't know what brand I would buy again. This thing is BUILT right for sure. I have had tremendous help from this site and a forum member here in Boise..John Fitzgerald. Don't know what I would have done without him..suicide comes to mind. Just took a 900 miler in the coach about two weeks ago and NOTHING went wrong...Beautiful time with it. I will say this...the education on these is so important...most of what happened to me was owner caused.
It takes time to read it all and sometime questions abound...but in the end it seems to be worth it. I only have one thing to solve and with John's help we will get through it...that we will chase in November when the coach is not being used ...and I don't have lot's of dough either...

Jerry, is your pump connected with ridge piping? If so, you can get short pieces if water hose to isolate the pump from the piping, also set the pump on a piece of 1" foam to help reduce the vibrations. Somewhere on the forums is a link to the hoses.
Good luck and hang in there.
