Windshield Wiper Blade Refill

86 GV,  We ordered from ebay what we thought was the measured and correct era refill blades for our wipers... right length but does not slip into guides on the wiper arms....  any help would be appreciated....  P30 chassis 454 Chevy ... does this mean we need to only seek Chevrolet replacement medium light duty truck wipers.  Nothing available in the auto parts stores. . Too old for their inventory. ....  thanks.

Sometimes I have had to take a pair of pliers and adjust the prongs on the arms to get the blades to fit.

I can't imagine any decent auto parts store not having availability of a wiper blade.  Go to a NAPA and look for an old guy that's been around a while.

I take one of the old wipers off and take it with me to the auto parts store. Whoever I meet at the counter walks over to the wiper blades with me in tow, and we find two that look like the old one. I pay, go home and install them. Just did that a week or so ago. Each time it seems like it costs more, but maybe that's just my faulty memory.

OK..  we have been to several now.. NAPA..  Autozone, etc..  the wiper blade refill " racks' set up by the manufacturer are not filled with wiper refills for this age of a RV or a medium duty truck...  we can find length but not the right stainless tips that will lock into place and will not go thru the guides in our wiper arms.    Just though there was a better online source than amazon or ebay...

I remove the  OE arm  and drill a 3/16 hole through the stock cross bolt  hole and new wiper arm .

I don't what kind of arms you have But I replaced mine with J hook style so now I can go to any parts house and by off the rack replacement blades.
