retrofitting new generator - need advice

Had a brand new generator installed last year, with accompanying new radiator for the gen on our '06 Phenix. Discovered this summer that the new radiator with 12v fan don't do an adequate job of cooling.

When the new system was installed, the ORIGINAL 110 blower was removed; PowerTech suggests that we need 23cfm to cool the system and the original (Foretravel addition presumably) blower should be reinstalled. Fortunately it's gonna be an easy add-in, as the original blower fits perfectly over the new radiator. We'll run power from inside the generator bay - a junction box is there to connect to the feed to transfer switch.

Question is - do you think I need a small (15amp) breaker inline after the junction box to/from the blower? I cannot find any sort of inline breaker from the original system (I did not do the takeout or the new install personally).

Thanks.

I always like a breaker or fuse to protect wiring and electric motors.  Dead short in either wiring or motor without them can start a fire.  Size the breaker or fuse for around 20% more than the motor starting amps.

If I might ask what was wrong with the original gen? My 06 power tech generator part went bad, replaced just the gem part. Armature  shorted out!  Thank u John
