Ih45 issues

It's been about one and a half years since delivery and only about 11,000 miles. I wanted to share my list of failures to date.

1. #4 a/c unit replaced
2. Hwh system would not level correctly, it was adjusted and all good now
3. Cooling recall, completed at annual service visit.
4. Winegard Travler locked in down position, Winegard diagnosed and shipped replacement.
5. Entire dash pad replacement, I left the door open and wife cat got in and decided that the dash made a nice scratch pad.

I think it's worth saying that the a/c the Winegard as well as that cat issue are manufacturer issues and wife's. All I can say is that on my prior coaches the list was a whole lot longer, closer to 75 items and it never ended with most of them not being suppliers items.

I still love my coach and will be ready for travel season, just 3 months to wait.

Welcome Ahall,
Thanks for posting. Perhaps you can intice folks with younger coaches to participate more. I lurk here and enjoy reading things.  From what my super RV tech says, even brand new A/C units can go toes up as they come out of the box. Not good quality control.
Please put a bit more info about your coach in your signature lines.

Before I finished reading I was thinking... most of your issues are not foretravel made components... then I read

"All I can say is that on my prior coaches the list was a whole lot longer, closer to 75 items and it never ended with most of them not being suppliers items."

Now your talking.. Thanks for posting... I like these stories as it lets me know that the quality is still there 17yrs after mine was built..

Considering all the systems and extras on a Bus of that caliber that is pretty much just getting the bugs and cat out. On another note I nutted up when my dog trashed the dash on a 89 model, I wouldn't want a video made of me seeing my new 45 clawed up.

Is the cat still around?

At least the Winegard Travler locked in down position.  Way better then locking in the up position.

One think I notice on mine is as soon as you turn the key on the dish starts to stow. So, one less think for me to remember to do.
