Evans is north west of Augusta, GA by a whisker.When I walked up to it I was blown away by the condition. Yes the wiper arm is missing but that's not a bid deal. It has the 8.2L Detroit diesel, and a 7kw Kohler generator. The generator needs someone who knows what they're doing. Someone born before the generator was born.That being said, the refrigerator was frosted over on electricity. The interior was, I don't know how to describe it properly, but fantastic, in the good way, comes to mind. I wanted to buy it. And drive it right to the tire store.But no dinette. The ice maker, the trash compactor, the eye level gas oven, all say Canapes and Cocktails. The queen size island bed and the "breakfast bar" with its leather top and brass rail all scream Don Draper and the other Mad Men from Madison Avenue.And that's not us.There's two of us here and we each had near fatal motorcycle related collisions decades ago. We need a dinette.This is pretty much a turn-key Oshkosk FTX. The owner is a decent guy getting ready to, unexpectedly, go overseas for us one last time.I don't need two. Based on the build quality I saw in the FTX I had no problem going out and buying a Foretravel.A 1992 SBID U225 Grand Villa. I've trouble shot both furnaces, added oil holes to the motor in the rear furnace and I'm waiting on a re-built cooling unit for the Dometic 4804. Nothing I wasn't aware of going in. I like the idea of starting out with a new (ish) cooling unit and I am lucky enough to have the skill set.The Torsilastic suspension looks good and has plenty of shims left plus I knew where to find new parts before purchase.I can't wait to move into my new home.The first text after the first 300 miles? Worth a close look if that's your market. Earlier I looked at a country coach that was perfect but the fuel pincher scared me off . Do your power train research 🧛🏽♂️ Edit.
