Another refrigerator question

I went out to the shop Saturday and discovered the Dometic 1492 wasn't cooling.  Our coach has the ARP unit on it but no instructions for it.  I've been to the website but didn't find much other than videos how those refrigerators work.  Best I can tell it is overheating and shutting off.  The temp on the display climbs to almost 300 then shuts down and apparently begins a countdown of an hour.  It does the same on gas and electric.

If someone has instructions for the ARP unit that would be nice.  I figured out that holding down the left button apparently bypasses the ARP.  The display button sometimes shows the temp but not every time.  The setup button doesn't do anything that I can tell.

The coach has been level in the garage.  There is no smell of ammonia and the boiler tubes and condenser fins at the top all look like new.    I tapped it all with a rubber hammer (read that in some post) but haven't tried taking it out for a drive.  I've looked over a lot of posts but just wondered if I'm missing something.  I don't think residential would be for us.

Thanks

Just a thought is the flue clean. Check for rust around pilot . Tap on pipe to free up loose rust build up. It might lower temp.

Rick

I suspect your cooling unit is broken. I haven't seen mine above about 200. I think the display is centigrade.

I'm not home with the coach so don't have any more information

Thanks to all.  I had some phone help today from Bruce Beane navigating the arp website and found some documentation.  Like Rich, I suspect we have a new cooling unit in our future.

This forum is amazing.  Never met Bruce but he seemed like an old friend on the phone.

It sounds like the ARP did its job.
