Plumbing questions

Now that we're on our own schedule for a couple of months, we're getting a bit more serious about replacing the kitchen faucet with one that has a sprayer. We're looking at the style that has the sprayer as the nozzle of the faucet. So far, though, Jo Ann hasn't found one she likes. That may be a good thing, though.

Questions: How difficult would it be to use a standard one from Lowe's? Am I going to have to add a bunch of adapters, or am I going to be better off trying to find an RV model?

According to the previous owner, the filtered water never worked, so I'm going to see what I can see in that area when I'm underneath changing the main faucet. When the dead icemaker was removed, that water line was capped. I'm guessing that the water comes from the tank, to the filter, then to the filtered faucet and on to the icemaker. Is that the way it probably goes? I know, I won't really know until I start poking around, but it would be helpful it someone has gone before me and can tell me what I might be getting into.

I did a standard res faucet from the big box store. If yours has the female PEX fittings, there is a brass fitting that will screw into that then you will be able to connect to standard fittings. Got it all from Lowe's.

Your Moen kitchen faucet should be a standard kitchen non rv specific. Mounting 8" o.c. faucet. Take a peek, if so almost anything the DW picks should work physically, not so much financially as the sky is the limit on designer faucets.

We went with a commercial spigot. No special adaptors but we (Mike) had to make an escutcheon that we liked.

We went with a white Moen Model 87017W.  We like it, and it does the job.

That is the way ours is (was) routed.

When we removed the old ice maker under the hutch, and installed the Samsung residential fridge, the old plastic tubing to the icemaker was replaced with fresh tubing going to the icemaker in the new fridge.

We've tried a couple of faucets and settled one one similar to this.

Brushed Nickel Single Hole Sink Kitchen Faucet Swivel Spout Pull Down Mixer...

The pull out faucets wouldn't work since the shelf below the sink blocks the weight that pulls the faucet back in.

DW "requested" a pull out faucet.  Where there's a will, there's a way.  I enlarged the (existing) hole in the shelf (Reply #4 above).  Happy wife...

We went with delta that has pull out spigot for sprayer bought at Lowe's on sale with soap dispenser .  Also changed out water filter and filtered water faucet while at it.  Pic don't show filtered water faucet — had not arrived
BTW just FYI Delta gives a full lifetime warranty not limited lifetime like some others, have used it several times with no problems

If you have a couple c notes that ( more like 3+ ) you want to spend on a faucet. The DW likes high end stuff. Hansgrohe if you can't read it.
