Gas struts for cabinets

I know it has been posted before, but for the life of me, I can't find the post.  Can anyone help on this?  Looking for replacements for the struts on the over head cabinet doors on a U320.
Thanks in advance!

Thank you!  I actually knew that, but thought there were some on Amazon that were a little better both holding up and price wise.  We are here now in Nac, so will stop by and check them out!  Thank you!

I just bought 8 struts for the inside cabinets at 10.00 each and two struts for the wet bay door at 10.00 each, from Harco-Group.com.

Has anyone found a type other than a gas strut.  I think I am on my 3rd set now.  I remember seeing a Winnebago that had cabinet struts that had a spring in  them.

Are you installing them with the rod side down cyl. up? That is the way to keep the seals lubed

We got tired of replacing struts.  Created a pvc kick stand for the struts. Easy fix.  See attached pictures.

The Harco part number is GSB-7.5-10#, I'm guessing the GSB is for gas strut ? the 7.5 is the length extended 7.5" and it's rated for 10 pounds, I use one per door seems to work.

Thanks Eric for the specs for the inside cabinet struts.

Do you have part number and pressure for the outside bay struts you ordered from Harco?

BTW, the markings on our inside cabinet struts are:
Suspa C16 21696  and we use two on every door.

And I found this from a 10-yr old posting about our bedroom cabinets:
Add 2nd Air Strut to Cabinet Doors

Sorry to get back to you so late, the Harco part number is GSB-20V-100#, also $10.00. I believe that's a 20" strut at 100 pounds, and they're not fun to install.

We are thinking that in the long run, John Morales has the best idea using PVC pipe to keep doors open.

John's creative idea could even be more valuable for bay doors, as the brackets and fiberglass mountings are stressed with 100 psi pushing on them when closing bay doors.

Thanks John

Doesn't the cabinet struts also keep the doors from rattling? I've noticed they put closing pressure also.

Well, bit the bullet and purchased 30 struts from MOT while we were there.  Only needed 23, so have some for future use.  Most likey, the easiest and cheapest fix we will be doing on our coach.  LOL

Maybe I missed something or maybe the 320's have something different besides the wood, our overhead cabinet struts were
replaced with ones from Foretravel and they stay open with no problem, when we are not traveling I leave them open so they are not
in the compressed position.

Here's an example of the spring type hatch struts, they're available in different lengths.
