86 GV Original Ice Maker

Hello.  We have de-winterized our coach... and hooked up to power ( 15amp) at in our driveway... all good with systems BUT we have a running water leak from the Ice Machine... an original equipment.... we have owned this coach since last June and the ice maker NEVER worked before..  we tripped the breaker to stop the water flow but that didn't stop the water from the ice maker unit mounted to inside wall of the IM...we removed the vent plate underneath and found the inbound line but no manual cut off ... water runs when we turn on the water pump...  we have traced the water line to under the twin beds but cannot see where it originates from.... has to be from the fresh water tank... but we don't see the SAME size water line coming UP from under floor to the drivers side fresh water tank under the Drivers Twin Bed...  can we cut the inbound line into the IM and cap it for now ????

No cut off under sink?

Under the sink ???  The water line we found inbound to the Ice Maker goes BACK underneath the closet and heads under the floor..  BUT we do not see it come UP into the fresh water tank space under the drivers side twin bed....

Tiny line goes from ice maker to water filter. Water filter is tied to the CW piping to the sink, with small line on 89

That coach may be one that has a tunnel under the floor that the icemaker line goes down into then emerges out under the sink. Which then is tied to the filter like OPP states.

I took the water line and ice making stuff out of the ice maker and just use it as a freezer.  It really does add a lot more freezer space and I don't need to worry about winterizing it .  We don't use a lot of ice, so the freezer in the refer. does the job for us.  In the 91GV, the little water line was connected under the sink and went under the floor to the ice maker.  I didn't try to remove it,  just disconnected it and left it in.  Have a great day  ----  Fritz

 Have done a lot of searching and following lines.  But we are unable to find the source of the water line for the ice maker...  we watch the line leave the IM and it goes back and under the closet on passenger side...  unless there is a tunnel under the floor between the two twin beds... thats the long way route to the sink    Every time we turn on the water pump the ice maker line begins to run... we turned off the breaker for the IM but the water line still runs with the water pump ON...  may just cut the line at the inbound spot at IM and plug the line... it doesn't appear there is enough pressure there to throw the plug OUT..

Most ice makers water runs thru a filter before going to ice maker.

The water line goes under the floor to the water filter under the sink.

There are 2 lines originating from the ADP filter under the kitchen sink. One is for the sink water dispenser, the other is for the ice maker.

With limited space to crawl inside the undersink storage... we have not been able to locate the water line to ice maker... there is ONLY one stainless water line on the OUT side of the water filter and it goes directly up to the sink faucet..... we gave up... no reason to tear up the floor to search for it... we even pulled the drawers under the closet and found the IM water line heading back towards the twin bed... but under the floor it went.... we gave up.... we capped the line just as it enters the ice machine coupling...  again.  This Ice machine is original and we never turned it on since our purchase a year ago... when we DE-winterized all tanks and lines it suddenly was running and flowing water.... we have capped the line and turned off the breaker for this appliance.  The FREEZER section of the dual mode original refrigerator works well and we use ice trays...

Do you winterize your coach??  This may be a freezing/bursting issue if you need to and don't.  Have a great day  ----  Fritz

It is probably only a broken water fill valve on the ice maker.

We do and We did....  there are no split or broken water lines....  just not sure why this water line feeding the Ice Machine is NOW working after never working before...  but all good.  We capped the water line with brass fittings at the input coupler of the ice machine and cut off the breaker for electrical to the IM.... all good...
