Aquahot engine loop pump

My engine loop isn't working.  The problem is this little fuse or diode  in the line coming from the Intellitec to the Aquahot.  When I put ground to the pump it runs like a champ.

It doesn't look factory but I hesitate to bypass it without checking.  I don't see the need since there is a fuse at the Intellitec control board.

Thoughts?

The factory uses a diode wire, do you have one of Roger Burke's trouble shooting and operation manuals?

Thanks.  I'd say I need a new diode.
