Interior remodel 1998 U270
We like to camp in National Forests, state parks, BLM, etc. so we wanted flooring that could stand up to dirt, sand, mud and was easy to clean. We installed Mannington Adura Lux Vinyl Tile in sandcastle beige. Did not raise floor, but trimmed out the wire channel curb side. Also left oak floor at kitchen after hearing how much trouble to remove. Squared it off with a small piece, installed stainable vinyl transition strips. We also replaced most of our day night shades with MCD manual dual shades (they are located in McKinney where I live.) Calvin did the measuring and then coached me on how to prep for a lower cost install. All valences, couch, and two kitchen chairs were recovered by a local upholstery shop. I took them to him in pieces and installed them myself. Left carpet in driver's footwell and bedroom. Still working full time so its been a year long process in bits and pieces. A young lady in our church who studied interior design helped us pick out colors and fabrics. She made sure we used sun resistant fabrics on valences and furniture.
The vinyl tile was 4mm thick, so went through a lot of razor blades. Trimmed around pilot and copilot chairs instead of removing them. Refinished the oak flooring in kitchen.
