Lap sealant

I have a question on lap sealant. I noticed that Foretravel doesn't use it on the roof. Having had a previous RV that had roof damage due to leaks, I may be a little over zealous when it comes to leak prevention. Is there any reason for not putting some on around all the roof openings other than looks?

No , not really but if seal is done correctly it should not be necessary. Do not use silicone seal

Proflex  is my choice.  I remove the screws and dab a little on.
