2001 U295

Hi All,
First off, Thank you in advance for any possible information or comments you may provide.

We are considering the purchase of a 2001 U295. It is the 350 HP model with 110,000 miles. Looks to have all records and is in good shape.  Plan on towing our Jeep Wrangler and seeing the Country.
Anyone have any experience or comments on this model ?  We have always had a gas coach so this is new to us.

Thanks again to all, this looks like a great site.

Given that it is a 2001 the coach probably has a slide.  Although one of our neighbors here in Tucson once owned a 2001 36 no slide.  I think it was a U270.  It is my impression that these early slides can be troublesome especially with age.  Be sure to check with FT to make sure parts are still available.

A 2001 U295 can be a very good coach.  While some have had problems with slides in every year, the 2001 slide mechanism was used from 99-01 and in our 2001 U30 36' it has proven to be reliable.  We are still on the original bladder seal, most coaches with slides in the 99-05 era have probably replaced a bladder.  Our slide when open adds as about the same usable interior sq ft as going from a 36 to a 40 ft with no slide.  It is different space but nice to have.

Check to see if it has the newer style dash, not all did, and the flat ceiling all the way to the front with AC ducts and vents.  It is a big advantage.

Send me a PM (or email if you want pictures) for actual experience.
