Toggle Switch Kool-Matic

Does anyone have a replacement part number for the toggle switch on the Kool-Matic?

Mine does not work on high, I can hold it on hi and the fan does run at high speed but wont stay on hi.

Low and off work just fine.

Thanks

Take it apart and see if you can repair it. You would have to do the same thing to put a switch in.

Switch is simple and does not change speeds. I just chooses a different point on the resistor that is in the air flow. Problem could be resistor, which can be bypassed for high speed.

Nothing special about the switch.

Free roaming Kool-O-Matic rooftop covers are classed as "Extinct".  Rumored to once exist in the wild, but haven't been sighted in years.  If you ever locate one in good original condition, capture it and hide it away...would be worth it's weight in gold to other "collectors".

.

Wasn't there somebody on the forums who printed a couple of the inside covers from the originals?  If so...  could they also not print a rooftop cover (or am I just blowing smoke up it)?

1.  Yes - John & Stacey.  Unobtainium  (Reply #9)

2.  Even if do-able on the size machine they have access to, would be very time consuming (plus expensive).  The inside cover took 40 hours!  :o

That's why I had my re-fiberglassed. I like the look better than the square replacements.

My Kool o matic control is now spoken for. I drove a hard bargain. Just postage for now and a Nu Way sandwich and home made root beer next time buyer is in town. ^.^d
