RV Service Recomendation, (VACUFLUSH) in the Phoenix Area?

Well, our first extended journey has come to a halt over the toilet situation on the U320 with the Vacuflush toilet system! Cannot generate vaccum from the Vacuflush system, despite numerous repair actions. We are here in Phoenix, AZ. Looking desperately today for a qualified RV Tech to check out this problem. Anybody have recommendations for RV service here in Phoenix?

I've read every post here, and thoroughly gone over Carol's writing's about their experiences with the system. Our problem appears different. The vacuflush and toilet have worked well for us since purchasing the coach. I rebuilt the VG unit about 18 months ago, new duck bill valves, o-rings and bellows. A  real "interesting job" to say the least. Do not think we have a blockage. Vaccum pump runs, and runs, no vaccum generated to flush the toilet.

I contacted a Dometic distributor on the East coast where I purchased the duckbill valves previously, they took me through some "likely fixes"... So, I've replaced all four duckbill valves, no fix. Then was sent the rebuild kit, new bellows, seals, and new whisper motor. No fix. Cracked one of the ny-lock white nuts on the output tube, (brittle/old) the black tube and captive white nut have been replaced, no fix. Cannot hear any air leaks around the VG unit, or toilet (not sure if it's possible to hear a leak?). I've  tightened the hose clamps from the toilet to the ABS plastic piping from toilet to VG unit. Pulled off as many panels as I can to see the pipe routing, (thinking I might have a cracked pipe or connection. Cannot see much, what I can see doesn't look bad. There appears to be no fluid leaks anywhere in the system. The toilet bowl holds water, no leakdown...

I guess I need to establish if the VG unit itself is generating vaccum, need a SPECIALIST with the vaccum gauge to isolate and repair... Is it the VG unit, Toilet, or pipe between the toilet and VG unit?

BTW, The problem started after traveling over some extremely rough road on I-10 at the Texas border. Not sure if this has any bearing on the problem...

We figured Phoenix would have a good resource pool of experts here, so we re positioned ourselves here... Called Dometic, they gave us the contact of the AZ. Distributor, will call when they open up this morning.

Any recommendations on a good RV tech with this type of problem would greatly be appreciated!

Thanks, Jeff

The post is here somewhere as a forum member fought the same issue and found a loose pipe very hard to get to. I am not sure but it might have been sadlesore.

Craneman.  Yep, my worse nightmare... as this build has the 1--1/2"  DW ABS pipe running under the sink, then across the coach to the VG unit... I can trace/see about 80% of the pipe.  Did get a call from the local Dometic Sanitation distrubutor to check one more area, which is the 90 degree elbow within the dip tube, inside the VG. Known for getting calcified causing a blockage. Didn't see that on any of the marine or FT forums. Did a rudimentary vacum check, and the VG has a strong pull, so cracked pipe or blockage... Hoping, (praying) for a blockage...

Thanks, Jeff

Jeff, reach out to Carol, they had issues with the TurboTurd 3000 as she called it, maybe she knows who can help.

WOW, missed this one.  "RED", I tip my hat to you sir!

Fortunately, and thankfully we have solved the problem with the Toilet. Could not get an RV tech to respond in the Phoenix area, however the .local distributor and the Dometic distributor in NY provided great diagnostic support. Just a real nasty job, took one for the team on this problem.

While most of the VG was very clean, the input 90 degree elbow inside the VG was about 90 percent clogged with crustations. All it took was a little more "STUFF" to plug it 100%.  So, removed the dip tube asm.  From the VG. Cleaned it out and let it sit in CRL for the afternoon. Cleaned out well. Did order order the assembly because the two "O" rings were a bit loose and could  not get them to stay seated in the gaps. Should  be all good, once the part arrives in the morning. Yeh!

Now the honeymoon can continue!  It was becoming a date breaker with the DW...  :o
