Motorhome Steering Stabilization

Has anyone installed aftermarket 'steering stabilization' on a 2003 U320 40' Tag (or similar).  My steering has a 'bit of slack' in it, keeping me fairly busy when on the road.  I checked with Meritor & there is NO adjustment in the steering box.  Also had a mechanic CHECK for loose TREs, Pitman Arm joints, etc with no visible slack showing in the front end.  So thought I would check on some type of effective aftermarket steering stabilization to reduce the slack effect in the front end.  This is my 4th motorhome & have not used steering stabilization in the past but think I would prefer 'shock type' over 'double spring type'.

You might want to check your alignment. Tire pressure also made a difference for my coach. I dropped from 100psi to 95psi (based on actual coach weight) but it made a huge difference in handling,  especially when being passed by 18 wheelers.

I do have a stabilizer but it's more for piece of mind if I have a blowout. I have one of these:

Robert these coaches do not normally need those.

Loose wheel bearings can and will induce a wander.  Slight preload fixed mine

I just had Gene's alignment in Spokane do our 97 U295. Made all the difference in the wold. I was constantly hitting the R/H rumble strips.
Was just a minor toe out.Coach is square too. Best $179.00 I spent on the coach.

Driving my coach was my first experience at driving or even riding in a luxury motorcoach, I thought it drove great even with 6 year old tires. Recently had new Michelin X Line Energy Z LRH put on and at the same time had a leaking front wheel seal fixed in which the Tech mentioned was loose upon removal. I also was able to adjust my tire pressure down after the new tires and a four corner weigh. On my drive home the coach was even better than before and the "wondering" I thought was normal was gone, very little movement of the steering wheel on a clean road. M guess is the lower pressure and new tires removed the little wondering I had. My coach also has the Safety plus and Koni Gold shocks, not sure how she handled when new but I would have to say she is close to perfect now. I would suggest to make sure what you have is good working order before adding additional equipment.
