AquaHot 120v Aux

Our 2000 U320 does not have Multiplex and our new-to-us 2004 U320 does. There are a lot of similarities but a few things that we are still learning.

One of the items I am having trouble finding more information on is the AquaHot 120v Aux button. I had switches in my 2000 that correspond with the other buttons (diesel, electric, engine heat), but did not have an "aux" option.

When do I use this feature? Does this give me a BTU boost without firing the diesel element? There is so much customization on our 2004, is this something found on other AquaHot equipped coaches?

The newer aqua hot has two separate 120 volt heating elements versus one on your older coach.

I assume 1500 watts per leg?

Yes your coach probably has 2 elements like mine. Gives you approx. 10200 btu's instead of 5100.
In the summer can get by with them for showers etc, without diesel heater. Because in summer will need ac's, only use both on 50 amp service.
