If this is the line for borrowing a Pitman Arm Puller, I'd like to take a number and wait for one to be available.  I've got 2 steering boxes that need to be pulled and rebuilt, 1 that has started leaking and the other as preventive maintenance.  Happy to pay shipping or whatever.  Thx.

I have one contributed by David, and will be pulling my box this week. If no one else has one sooner I will send it to you after I pull the arm.

Lon,
I have it right here ready to send wherever, but I am hoping to use it one more time to remove the arm and put anti-seize on the splines before re-torquing it with a new pitman arm retainer. The hold up is getting a new retainer delivered. If someone needs it right away, I can block up the coach and pull the arm, add the anti-seize, cut the 90º off of a ⅝" hex key so I can use it to torque the retainer without Lon's ½" drive ⅝" hex key socket. We just got to Casa Grande and will be here for two weeks. I am hoping to be able to get a new pitman arm retainer while here so I can get it done once and for all.

Is the puller you guys have are special or are they a typical puller?
I'm having my box rebuilt next week and the shop says they can pull the box and haven't indicated it will be a problem.

I think we've decided to take both coaches in to MOT for the steering box R&R, as well as some other work.  So, thanks for the quick offers for a loaner but we won't actually be needing it this time.

They can use a typical puller but they will have to cut a big hole in your generator housing next to the gear box.  Better to get a puller from a member

Will the pullers floating around the forum allow the pitman arm to be pulled without cutting a hole in the generator enclosure?? All these issues around here makes me want to get mine done sooner than later.

Foliver has you started leaking again since you repaired it at Rudy's? Are you having it repaired before you get back to Louisiana?

I DID NOT cut an access hole in the generator compartment. The puller worked great although a tight area to work.

I've been watching mine closely since replacing the outer seal at Rudy's.  I had a slight drop for a few days but it appears to have stopped.  So before I leave Phoenix I'm having it rebuilt.  The other seals are the same age so it's just a matter of time before they leak.
My generator box does have the hole cutout so don't know if it's OEM or the box has been done before.  The shop said they have the M100 puller and have done FT's before.
