Cargo doors leaking after a good rain

I own a 1997 U320 and after as good rain my cargo compartment where my Joey bed slide is wet. I have tried adding some silicon in the corner no change. Is there a way to adjust the doors? The seals appear to be fine.

Had the same problem on mine earlier this year. Haven't had time to address it, look forward to the answers from the collective.

Climb into the basement and shut the door. Have someone outside with a bridge light run the light along the edges of the door and look for the light from the inside. Had FOT and MOT use this approach and fail to find where the water is coming in. But it is a start.

Thanks Bob I did that after some serious assuring my wife she would not be held accountable if she could not get the door back open and I perish in the basement. I guess I just need to do a better job with the silicone. Be interested if you get yours fixed.

Sagre,

First off, are you sure that all 4 corners are in the locked position?  Sometimes you need to the Foretravel door bump to get the doors to latch and not just in the safety. The top locks have lock pins that can bee adjusted. The lower locks have the floor clips that also have a small adjustment.

On our 98 I found that water was coming in around the door handle mechanisms. Removed the assembly and resealed and no more leak.

You are correct a box 7/16 wrench and we were all adjusted and waiting on rain to see if that fixed it. I am not in a hurry to see more rain. Ohio has had our share I do believe. Thanks for the info.

My 98 had 2 door handles that were leaking. A few sillycones , tighten the mounting bolts and you should be good.
