Thought I would provide some information re: the Diesel Fuel Program. In Oregon you will be charged the P.U.C tax (currently 38 cents a gal.) on top of the price indicated on the EFS app. What it basically does is bring it back up close to the listed cash price on the sign out front. I was not at a Loves but a different truck stop that showed up on the app. Loves was back towards Boise and we were headed south on 395. I called Tara about this and she took the information from me. I also asked her about a control number the pump reader asked for. She said that you need to use the last four digits of your Social Security number if ever asked this. Apparently another Oregon trait. With the approx. 20.00 fee from EFS this would add another fee on top of the price so I think the savings would have been 2 cents a gal. Something to think about in Oregon. Not sure what Loves would have been but assume the same tax would be added on. Thanks again to Rudy for his efforts. I'm sure I will save a bunch at the next Loves on my way south especially in Nevada and Ca.

Do not buy propane without checking with Tara to make sure card has been set for propane. I used it at Loves but it said not authorized for propane.

I bought fuel in Oregon and did not have any add on that I saw. I filled up at loves too.

John, if you check the price on the sign out front and then what you were paying at the pump, you would have seen the adjusted price. We found that out in 2001 when in Oregon. Only trucks with Oregon companies pay the listed price on the sign, according to the fuel stops we were at in that state! At least that is what I remember from way back then! lol

Got my statement yesterday. Fuel went from $2.79 to $2.41 after paying the fee. My savings $25.86. Yippeeeee!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Rudy.

Joe, not sure what you are answering too as what I was trying to say that the listed price on the sign was $3.179 and what I paid after the commision for the card was $2.378. There was no taxes extra added on as mentioned in post previous that brought the real cost up to within 2c a gallon cheaper.

Driving through Oregon, I noticed truck stop signs advertising three priced for diesel, cash, credit, and an unbelievable tax less cash price. Obviously the tax less price doesn't apply to RVers. But that was the price used as cash on the fuel card spreadsheet. I'm not surprised it was too good to be true, but after the tax is applied, still the best diesel price in town.

Ok, back to my posting. The posted price on EFS was 2.22 in Ontario Oregon when I pumped it. I put in 65 gallons and was finally debited at $ 2.378 a gallon which included the fee of 5.60 approx which would add on about 8.5c to the 2.22 making it around $2 .3+ a gallon. This makes any added tax around 7c which is still a hell of a lot less than posted cash price in my books

Someone at TSD deserves a big raise and all our thanks. TSD was researching ways to get the kind of dues discount the big trucking companies get, and someone found a way to make TSD look really big. Now we all benefit.

And this program is not limited to RVs. A friend asked, and they welcome other trucking companies. My friend is referring someone with a small trucking company with a $1000 a day fuel bill, who was only getting a nickel a gallon discount from FJ.

Id use them but For the Company I would need billing every month not the next day.. Helps me keep track of the trucks use when its 1 time bill.

I have 8 diesel trucks we fill up just about everyday. So billing can get nutty with a daily debit

Used my card for the first time yesterday at a Love's in Iowa. Received my email statement today. Saved $35.00 and change on 88 gallons. Simple and awesome.

My first time. Will see what price I got.

Not as fast nor as smooth as expected.

Love's app says B15. Pump says B20.

Paying with the app timed out before I could start pumping. Used the card at the pump, ok but too many questions.

Bobtail truck in front of me was in no hurry, took 20 minutes cleaning his 5th wheel hitch plate with the window washing squeegee, then laying paper towels on it. I thought the pulled ahead truck in front of him would never leave. When bobtail finally finishes pumping, he disappears for 10 minutes. Maybe looking for more cleaning supplies.

And the pump was slow for being on a truck lane.

By the time I finished, I had one DP and two big rigs behind me.

Ok. Love's price is $3.949. I paid $135 for 40 gallons, $3.375.

50 gallons is enough to get me out of Calif taxes and biodiesel. Next stop, fill er up in Kingman.

Wow...I just saved over $.75 per gallon when I filled up at Loves in OR. The pump price was $3.249 and I paid $2.4976 per gallon. I wanted to be sure I had a full tank before entering CA.

Richard, all I've done is swipe the card. I've used it twice filling up grain trucks. Once it asked for a PIN number, once it didn't.

You can pay from the Love's app after first loading your efs card into it. I'll try again tomorrow in Kingman. I was too slow getting my driver side fuel bay unlocked yesterday, so just used the card at the pump.

Just got back from a round trip from Midland to Austin and back. Used our EFS card for the first time at Love's Travel Stop south side Odessa.

Since I wanted to maximize my savings with the card, I stretched my driving distance further than I normally would. I have always told people that our coach would do 800 miles between fuel stops (with some reserve), but never before have I actually tried to prove that fact. Well, this time I did. We pulled into Love's with 801 miles showing on the trip counter - my rear end was a little tight towards the end of the drive. We were pulling our new Bolt on our tow dolly, plus we ran the generator the whole trip (and both air conditioners) plus this was mostly secondary highways and lots of stop and go. In other words, a worst case scenario for getting good fuel mileage. I was expecting the generator to cut out any time, but it never did.

I always fill our 148 gallon tank to just below the fuel filler neck, so I am giving away some tank volume to start out with. I pumped 113.85 gallons into the tank - a all-time high for me. That calculates to 7.09 miles per gallon, which I think is pretty good under the circumstances. I DO NOT plan to repeat this exercise again, if I can help it. We usually refuel after 400-500 miles of driving, because I try to keep the tank above half full.

Filled up yesterday afternoon (9-18), got my email receipts this morning (9-19), it says they will debit my account Monday (9-23).

Total price displayed at the pump was $335.70 for 113.85 = $2.95/gal

EFS discount price was $297.92 for 113.85 = $2.62/gal. Saved 33 cents/gal - not as much as some discounts I have been reading here

My cost including EFS fee to be debited: $301.70

Still a VERY worthwhile savings! THANKS RUDY!!!

Just used the Love's app in Kingman. Saved almost $50 on just under 80 gallons. Real diesel! Not bio.

To be precise, your savings are not all that great. Granted it is huge at LOVES or some of the other truck stops but they are far higher pump prices than an independent. For example I filled up at Circle K where I live for 2.64 and down the street is a Petro that advertises 3.25/gal. With the EFS discount it comes to 2.74.

Not knocking a discount but we're still paying market price for diesel.
