Carpeting Steps

I am wanting to use some of the outdoor type carpet on the steps to help clean stuff off my shoes.

Has anyone used this type of carpet on their steps?

Camping World sells a (inexpensive) product just for that.  We installed it on our coach and like it.  Makes it much easier for puppies to get in without feet slipping when it's wet.

I saw some that but they say it attaches with springs.  Not sure how to use the springs on the coach steps.

Ours attached with adhesive tape with Velcro on the other side.  Tip: apply the carpet to the Velcro before peeling the tape off the adhesive side and then place the carpet strip on the step.  I did it the other way, and wish that I had not.
