Step fitting part

While working to replace check valves and protection valves I notice a leak at the step. Not sure what the purpose of this valve and I assume it should not have a leak (which is significant). Any help where I might find a replacement?

I believe it's for the entry step and interior slide out platform.

Check this out, it may help.

This is not my Norgen valve. I just hijacked the picture from another thread to indicate the marked valve where the leak is located. Should I just replace the whole assembly?

I haven't had mine apart yet so I can't answer that, but I'm sure someone like Roger will chime in having the same year coach.

That is the exhaust ... one for open and one for close. Adjustable to slow down or speed up the closing of step or stair well cover.

If leaking? probably a bad seal inside the valve or maybe some material stuck that leaves the valve partially open

Greg,

If it is like the one in the pic. then you can take it apart and clean it up the inside, the exhaust ports (what your arrow is pointing to) are also replaceable.

Remove valve, open and clean inside with alcohol, etc. Simple valve and a little lub goes a long way to making it work again. Can't hurt to try. Exhaust ports are there to let cylinder air exhaust just while filling from other end of cylinder. One valve controls step slide, other outside step if you have flip-down step.
