Victron Multiplus now available with a UL sticker

The Bay Marine website now lists the Victron Multiplus Inverter/Charger at a new lower price.

Victron MultiPlus 24 Volt / 3000 VA / 120 Amp Pure Sine Wave Inverter/Charger

"There are two versions of the 120V Multiplus. One version is generally used for mobile, marine, and off-grid applications. The UL listed version should be used when approvals are required for grid-tie residential installations, and can be used for any installation. Both models operate in exactly the same manner. Please check with your local licensing office before installing. "

You can get a UL sticker for an additional $142.80.

Even with a UL sticker some will argue it is no good because it is not made in USA.  Apparently that doesn't make any difference to UL.

Right up there with the RVIA sticker  :giggle:  :coffee:

Reminds me of the movie Tommy Boy and whether there's a guarantee printed on the box.

It's great that they offer UL listed units.

I have no problem buying any UL listed appliance if it's design is what I need/want  for my uses

As a sort of by necessity "prepper" with two desert properties and a home in  southern shaky town the possible need to use ALL the inverters rated power in a high temp location with the inverter in a even higher temp compartment is mandatory.

So a inverter designed for intermittent loads for short duration(according to the manufacturer) and high efficiency MIGHT derate in a needed moment. I think the magnum would probably stand higher temps and continuous higher loads as that was what it was designed for.

Same reason I retained the heat strip airs, propane cook top, absorption refer and white gel coat

Older Foretravels  were made for much tougher uses than pedestal to pedestal use and always had backup systems.

I realize that most rv'ers are trying to save money and still have acceptable results.

The UL approval would a deal maker to me if I was in need of that particular specs.

I would "upgrade" to a UL unit if I had a non UL unit myself up to the point of selling the non UL and buying a UL unit.

But that's me.
