Hydraulic fan leak/seepage advice

In for annual service and a few PM projects. During inspection see evidence of leaking or seepage in the cooling fan system. Look like an emergency? No seepage is hitting the ground. Would prefer to schedule after this Fall to address (probably new seals?). Should we be concerned? Thoughts on intermediate actions? The cooling system is working absolutely fine.

PS, my ver thorough tech is not making a call just showing me the issue as he has learned we try to do stuff in advance not in emergency.

When I bought our coach the motor seal leakage looked similar to yours, When talking to a PO he said it had looked like that for a couple of years and wasn't worried about it. During the next winter I replaced both seals. Personally I believe a seal could blow just as easy without any previous leakage and would wait until it is convenient to change out.

If it is leaking on the back side it will take the 120.00 seal kit.  If leaking around fan shaft you can get a metric seal for about 10.00
The seal is 30mm OD. 20mm ID and 7mm thick

Alan,

Your photos look just like mine.  I was in the process of changing hydraulic oil and filter for the cooling fan and decided, like others have, to incorporate some Lucas Oil 10019 White 32 Ounce Oil Booster / Stop Leak (about 20%) and see what happens.  In two years, I've never had to add any oil.  Seepage is very minimal.  Certainly not worth removing fan motor and risking a more serious problem.

YMMV
