Check your solar panels

I know several people don't tilt there solar panels due to not wanting to go on the roof. I can relate to that but if you don't go on the roof occasionally you might not be getting the best efficiency out of your panels.

Lots and lots of solar in Australia.

When we were in  Mildura 6 weeks ago, virtually all the solar panels were covered with a thick coating of red dust.  Probably not 10% efficient.

Huge dust storm blankets Mildura, turning daylight to midnight in minutes |...

But mile after mile of  grapes (wine on the hoof) and citrus.

Not only what's on the panel but what's under it. The detritus under my panels when I took off my luggage rack which was just a foot trip hazard was pretty amazing. I had to lift each one and pressure wash it. Took a couple of hours but in the end was much better. Leaves, twigs, branches, etc all hiding under leaving a big mess.
