Waste hose storage

So off the wet bay is a little door where the hose can be pushed into for storage.
However with the end attachments it can't make the 90 degree turn.
How can I store this thing.

We only have the Theford 45* end on one end of the hose so it fits in the tube. The new Theford end has a larger fin on it that may have to be cut off to get the little door to close.  If you use a heavy duty hose you will need to be creative as to hose storage.

I just use a blue plastic container to store 2 hoses with various fittings, etc.  Keep it in the basement compartment just forward of the utility bay.  A few FT owners have added a shelf and moved the power and water reels to that so they can store the sewer hose under the shelf.  Nice idea and on my list of upgrades.

We have a waste hose with caps on both ends that collapse to about 4' long.  In the main bay on our 36' with the joey bed closed there was enough space between the joey bed end and the door opening to lay the hose there.  The door closed with no problem.  We have a small tub for the sewer connector end and a 45° fitting that sits in the wet bay.

I use the Presto Fit connectors.  I keep the the black ring that comes on the end of the hose out of the box and put it on each time I feel the hose into the storage tube.  When I pull it off to connect to the Presto Fit, the hose slips right on regardless of temperature.  I leave the 90 degree elbow permanently on the other end and just leave the door ajar.

I used to use a bin like folivier but with storage pretty limited on a 34' I looked for another solution. I ended up hanging a piece of PVC pipe over and back from the air cleaner. I was able to do this only after I had replaced the original muffler with a smaller resonator. It's easy to get in and out and now I can make much better use of that tiny joey bed.

Our 36' was set up with 1 abs tube when we bought it but there has been occasions when I needed more length so I added another.  Also removed the stock mufffler, while I was in there. Any drips make there way out to the rear of the coach so the hose is always dry.

Here's what Brett did on our roadside stern: works great, I remove the lower drain hose fitting before storing.

Large PVC pipe with caps on both ends. Hose fits in nice and stored in joey bay. Works fine.
Thinking of going to a composting toilet at some point perhaps, and if so, will only need a large hose to empty the tanks as it will all be liquid, so just attach to a hose attachment. But that is a future project.

My main hose is kept in a topless plastic bin in the small compartment just aft of the rear wheel. I also keep a dump-only hose in the original tube in the wet bay. I need to trim the Thetford elbow, as the hatch doesn't close. But that's low priority.

Our spare sewer hoses are stored in PVC next to propane tank.  They get used about once a year when parked far from a home sewer connection.

Three different lengths of every-day hoses are stored in space opened up behind holding tanks.

I have two Rhino hoses and all of the various accessories for dumping in a flat tub that just fits on the floor under the fresh water tank. A kneeling pad (garden variety) stands next to the dump valve. That is used when the LR corner is sitting on the tires. MUCH more comfortable for these old knees (and keeps the jeans cleaner, too). The pvc pipe is unused and unwanted. One of these days I'll have nothing better to do than to remove it.
