Ceiling mirrors

We recently purchased an '02 U320 and absolutely love it...except that I'm not 20 years old anymore and the mirrors on the ceiling have got to go! Has anyone replaced or covered them? If so, I'd like to see your ideas.  Can you please let me know what you used and provide pictures? Thanks!

We had the mirrors replaced on our 2002 U320 this summer.  They were cracked.  Don't exactly know what the replacement material is, but my wife really likes it.  FOT did the work.

Why don't you call the FOT service department and ask to speak to David.  Refer him to our replacement (he'll remember Sandra).  David will have to call you back as he spends most of his time in the shop.

Yes, do give David Flanigan in the service department at FOT a call. He did a lovely cosmetic repair of my bedroom ceiling mirror. He is an artist at that job. OR, spray it with some Christmas tree goo.
No RV! Have hung up the keys.

Why not replace them with funhouse mirrors?
Then you can lay in bed and laugh and laugh.. ^.^d

Aren't the mirrors plastic?  Are they held up with velcro?  The wide trim is held in place with velcro.

Cover mirror with vinyl material in a color of your choice using some adhesive.

My wife like them.. she gets ready before she even gets out of bed.. hair done and all...


Just kidding as I dont have those either...I would find some vinyl like mentioned... Wallpaper type with a color or design that looks good in the coach and put it on it... The brass in the recessed areas of the living room and bed will get that soon, just need time and energy to put it on..

We have the same issue with a cracked ceiling plastic mirror. Someone mentioned the support for the mirror was held with Velcro. Is this true and if so can I just force it down? I hesitate to get into something that I am not sure about but if that is all that holds it up, I'll give it a shot! I just scanned the previous replies and it was Barry and Cindy who made the Velcro comment.

Glad I don't have them on my coach. Not sure why they were popular. I would much rather have a thicker insulation. Seems to much like Las Vegas to me.... but that's just me.

I consulted David Flannigan, FOT and confirmed the support trim around the mirror is Velcro. I pulled it off, removed the 2" trim and was able to see screws. I removed the ceiling fan and screws to drop the mirror which was mounted on plywood. I matched the fabric, covered the mirror/plywood and 2" trim then reinstalled. New LED lights and ceiling fan finished the project.

Here's a picture. Fabric and thin foam lining from Bowen Foam & Fabrics in Houston. Because we live nearby, I was able to take the trim piece in so they could match it.

Ceiling mirrors? Good Lord, does the coach come with a waterbed as well? Sorry couldn't resist. I do miss some things from the 70s. Sadly the views from the ceiling mirrors during the 70s don't match the views from today :-(. They made great RVs back then tho.
EMT living in Missouri. Recently purchased 1987 Gran Villa 36 Ft. long,460 Ford engine with 40,000 miles on it, new tranny has 3000 miles on it, coach has 75000 miles on it, new 5000 watt genny new fridge, new tires. Am both excited and scared out of my wits at the size of this beast. Love it but need time to become accustomed to it's size.  I'm sure it will take time to experience all the secrets this RV has to offer. Any and all advice gratefully accepted.

Right on .?I removed the under valence lights and wired a couple of computer pancake fans to the circuit.  Nice gentle breeze

We are old. How much light do you really want?
I feel sorry for my lovely wife every time I use the mirror.

Seems like the mirrors and high altitude could be a health hazard. Should be a label on the mirror.  8)

We had mirrored ceilings all over our Prevost. Best solution I had was to sell it and buy a Foretravel

I'm all for the "recover with fabric" solution...but wanted to suggest contact paper as well...I saw an older bus that they covered most of the mirrored surfaces with a marble pattern contact paper that looked fantastic-might be a great solution for some members here?
