Oil leaking sos

On way home from short trip

Oil leaking under front drivers side of coach beside generator and above a fuel filter, is that the shepherd steering box?

Can I drive another 2 hours safely

Hopefully pictures will upload

You will need to tell us what is leaking and how severely.

Yes, look at the steering box.

If it is leaking, the fluid will be clear engine oil.

I think it is the steering box. Pictures will not upload. It is clear oil.

Is regular oil used in a power steering box?

The inside of the area has oil sprayed on it, and it was showing up on the first exterior bay door.

Correct oil should be on a label on the large black hydraulic fluid reservoir.

Likely Delo 400 15-40 from any auto parts house or Walmart.

Oil level was right below the add line on the measuring stick. I added enough to get it to the full hot mark (about half an inch). 95% sure it's the steering box that is leaking.

Going to try and upload the pictures when I get to a place where I am able to. Thanks for the help so far.

If it is the power steering box, can I rebuild it locally okay, or should I send it out west where the rest of the forum members have sent theirs? What are the benefits of the latter option?

You will need to determine where it is leaking AND if you have any play in the steering box that would warrant blue-printing.

Highly recommend Red Head Steering Gears, just had ours swapped out due to bad seals.
Coach drives much better now.
