Shower attachment to base? Just glued?

I stand at the threshold of what I had pegged as a simple project turning into something a bit more complicated.

The project was simply to re-caulk the shower, but as I was removing the old used-to-be-clear sealant, I realized that the stuff went underneath the base of the shower frame. Did Foretravel just glue the enclosure frame to the base with silicone or...? I see no evidence of fasteners holding the enclosure to the shower pan. We are traveling and I can't take it all apart to see whats what... At this point, I am planing to just remove just enough of the old caulking so the I can get a clean surface to put a bead of caulking between the base, wall and the shower enclosure. Thoughts? Pictures of the fiberglass shower pan (U270) after removing the frame could be helpful.

Don, I have not removed one from a coach but would think they are the same as residential which have a recessed shoulder on the 2wall sides thru which some screws will hold the base in place. These are covered by the panel. No need for any other fasteners. Caulking around the base to floor adds to the holding

Now come to think of it I did have the framework for glass panels off a GV and thru the gold base aluminum trim were a couple of long screws going into floor . Do not know if that was a FT oem or some later job.

Don, I don't know for sure, but most, if not all, shower bases have a lip that the walls sit just in front of so water does not just bleed through into the framing, etc., if the silicone caulk fails. At least, let's hope so.

Residential shower enclosures generally do not require a caulk joint at the bottom of the panels because the tray as previous posts have pointed out have a lip that extends up the wall about 1.5", many installers do caulk the bottom of the wall joint and more often than not the caulk fails and no one notices and no damage is done.
The glass panels sit on a flat surface and depend on a good caulk joint to prevent leakage.
